Two days before Mother’s Day, Gov. Kelly vetoes bill to protect moms from deadbeat fathers

One week after legislators adjourned from session, Governor Kelly vetoed a bill that would allow women to request up to 40 more weeks of child support payments from the fathers of their preborn children to help cover pregnancy related medical and other expenses.

Governor Kelly is so obsessed with abortion that she tried to stop legislation that protects women from coerced abortions. Now she won’t allow women to have the potential for additional child support. This will not deter those of us who actually have compassion for women in difficult situations—unlike the Governor and other abortion industry allies.
