Governor Laura Kelly’s veto of the CARE Act puts her on record supporting government harassment of Kansas pregnancy centers that provide women with real, tangible help.
This bill (House Bill 2635) simply ensures that the 50+ pregnancy centers serving women and families across Kansas cannot be targeted or forced by government officials to act against their beliefs.
Sad, but not surprising.
Kansans for Life looks forward to the Legislature overriding this veto so pregnancy centers can continue serving women free from government interference.
