KFL hosts two successful events featuring pro-life mother daughter duo, Rachel & Evita Duffy
Fox & Friends Weekend host and best-selling author Rachel Campos-Duffy, along with her daughter Evita Duffy-Alfonso, joined Kansans for Life (KFL) supporters at two packed events on March 11th and 25th, 2025. More than 1,500 pro-life Kansans gathered in Overland Park and Wichita for the events to celebrate the undeniable truth: every human life is Beautiful by Design.
Each evening opened with remarks from local pregnancy resource center directors who praised KFL for its work with legislative allies to help pass the 2024 Pregnancy Resource Act. The legislation created a 70% tax credit to donors supporting pregnancy centers and maternity homes in Kansas. In Overland Park, Ruth Tisdale of Two Lines Pregnancy Clinic called it “one of the most helpful pieces of legislation that passed last year,” citing positive results centers experienced statewide. In Wichita, Cheryl Barnard, Executive Director of A Better Choice Pregnancy Clinic confirmed the beneficial effects of the legislation.
At both events, KFL Executive Director Peter Northcott shared the organization’s vision for the year ahead. Reflecting on the 2025 theme, All Means All: Beautiful by Design, Northcott emphasized the importance of recognizing the value of every life — born and unborn.
“Now is the time to keep moving forward to build a culture in our state where every child is protected in law and loved in life,” said Northcott. “With your help, we can continue to do that and show people that everybody is beautiful by design.”
Despite a pro-abortion Governor who spent millions trying to defeat pro-life candidates, Northcott reminded attendees that Kansans expanded pro-life supermajorities in both chambers of the Legislature. He celebrated recent legislative wins, noting, “Prior to 2023, our movement had never overcome a Governor’s veto. Since then, seven vetoes have been overridden to pass life-saving, pro-life policies.”
Northcott also highlighted KFL’s fetal model display at the Kansas March & Rally for Life and announced plans to take it on a statewide tour as part of a broader educational effort. Campos-Duffy voiced her support: “What a great idea. To visually show all the [preborn lives] we have lost just in the last year… that is a great idea, and I’m looking forward to it.”
The Duffys shared personal stories about their family’s experience balancing the busy lives of nine children and the demands of living in the national spotlight. Rachel reflected on her 26 years of marriage to her husband, Sean, now serving as U.S. Secretary of Transporation in the Trump Administration. Rachel and Evita also spoke about their youngest family member, Valentina — who was born with Down syndrome.
“Valentina’s greatest accomplishment is how she’s shaping our family,” Evita said. “Through her, we’re learning patience, compassion, and unconditional love. We celebrate her achievements, and she has helped us redefine what success and happiness truly means to our family.”
Rachel added, “She’s perfecting our family every single day.”
Rachel closed the evening by thanking KFL supporters: “Thank you for being here… You have committed your lives to the idea that all humans have dignity and worth because they are created in the image of God.”
