Kansas Statehouse veteran Peter Northcott, previously a board member for KFL, joined the KFL staff in July 2019 to spearhead operations, government affairs and educational efforts. He is working to mobilize the organization’s statewide network of activists to pass an amendment to the state constitution that protects women in crisis and their preborn babies from an unregulated abortion industry.
Northcott has a wide range of experience in Kansas government and grassroots advocacy. Immediately prior to stepping into this position with KFL, he served as the assistant Kansas treasurer, under Treasurer Jake LaTurner. He has previously served as chief of staff to the Kansas Senate Majority Leader, Legislative Liaison for the Office of Governor and as assistant executive director of KFL. Northcott is a graduate of the University of Kansas and a member of the American Enterprise Institutes Leadership Network.
