Mary Wilkinson was elected to the KFL state executive board in 2017. Born and raised on a family farm in Clay Center, Kansas, she began her professional life as a registered nurse in Wichita, where she still resides today. With 11 years’ experience in emergency room nursing she brings strong skills in organization, problem solving and decision-making to Kansans for Life to support the fast-moving environment of public policy and politics.
Wilkinson has served the pro-life movement in various roles since 1989. She was a board member and then president of Life, Inc., the Wichita affiliate of Kansans for Life, until the mid ’90s, overseeing all operations and development for the organization. During the Summer of Mercy in August 1991 she managed all media relations and served as Master of Ceremonies for the Hope for the Heartland Rally that drew 35,000 people. More recently, she has served on the KFL PAC state and local boards and worked on special projects and events.
Because of her Christian faith, Wilkinson is passionate about elevating and protecting innocent human life in Kansas as the first and most important of all human rights given by God.
